All JRLC Life Group Leaders will be attending this church-wide conference, designed to help equip and build effective and thriving small groups. There will be several workshops to choose from, in which students will learn from church leaders insight on different topics of small group ministry.
Designed for Life 2010 is going to be incredible. Hundreds of women will join together for this life changing encounter with Christ. The JR Women’s ministry has been praying and planning for months to make this the best conference yet! JRLC students will have the privilege of helping prepare for this year’s DFL, as well as serving during the event.
JRLC’s first missions trip of 2010-2011 school year will be to St. Louis, MO. Several students will have the opportunity to partner with the Dream Center in STL in making an impact on the city. This trip will be an awesome time for our students to grow as a team and work to reach the lost.
There will be no classes on these days for our fall break. Be safe and catch up on some rest!
RKids’ 10.31 Party is an awesome outreach to the families of Springfield. This will be a great day with candy, games, and activities for kids. The church will be transformed into a welcoming and fun environment for families to enjoy together. JRLC will be fully decked out in costumes while helping with the 10.31 Party! All students will have the opportunity to participate during this event.
The first JR Women’s Rally of the year is going to be an awesome night! Every student will have a role to play in helping make this an encouraging and exciting night for the women of JRA. The rally begins at 7:00 P.M. and there will be treats, games, and a great night of women joining together in fellowship.
We wish our students safe travel and a time of refreshment as they travel home and other places during Thanksgiving Break!
Fall finals for both freshmen and sophomores in all of their classes will take place during this week. Study hard, leaders.
This Sunday’s services will be an incredible time reflecting on God’s gift of grace to us and celebrating the birth of Christ! JRLC will be involved in several different ministry areas during this day. Yet another great opportunity to reach the lost and give hope to those in need!
This Tuesday afternoon practicum time will be the close of our practicums for the fall. They will resume again with classes in the spring.
JRLC will be heavily involved in this year’s Giving Tree outreach, as our last event together before the Christmas break begins. JRA will be collecting gifts for children of Springfield during the holiday season. These children come from families who are struggling financially and may not otherwise be able to provide them with any gifts on Christmas day. Our students help deliver these presents to the schools and spend time with these amazing kids. What a great way to end the semester!
Enjoy your time at home! JRLC will miss all of our students during Christmas break, and can’t wait for them to return for retreat.
